80% of consumer decisions are made or influence by women in Canada, according to Marketing Magazine. And yet, out of 22 industries, only grocery stores came close to satisfying women's needs.
So, what do the experts think are the keys to marketing to women?
1) Make our lives easier. With working women, its critical to simplify and make it easy to do business.
2) Approach us in a variety of ways. Make it easy by communicating through all kinds of media and make it easy to interact through internet, email, catalogues and in store.
3) Be good. Show that you have a commitment to the community. Support good causes. Behave in a responsible way to the environment.
4) Provide useful info. Make it easy to do research either on line or through other channels.
What do I think? These tips are useful, but, it might be just as useful to listen you your female customers and ask them what they want. I've always found that women just want to be listened to.
